The headlands provide excellent ocean views for dolphin and whale watching, views to Cape Hawke and numerous opportunities for photographers. The headland walks of the Blackhead, Redhead and Hallidays Point area are a must for nature lovers, containing rare flora and fauna. Both Redhead and Blackhead are classed as Littoral Rainforest and are examples of what the Eastern Australian coastline looked like prior to European settlement.
Black Head Beach, at Hallidays Point, is regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the Manning Valley. It is patrolled during summer and features an ocean pool, superb rock pools, excellent fishing, picnic areas and BBQ's. Diamond Beach is 5 kilometres of pristine golden sand, which stretches from Redhead northward to Saltwater. The beach is sparsely populated with two thirds protected by nature reserve. In the area there is a huge range of holiday activities including surfing, boating, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, 4 wheel driving, rainforest walks, lake cruises and horse riding. Our picturesque hinterland of Gloucester, the Barrington Tops, historical Stroud and Ellenborough Falls offer perfect destinations for day trips or picnic outings.
Just 5 minutes drive from Beachfront Holiday Resort are the 2 family fun parks in the area - Ton O Fun and The Big Buzz. Both parks have an entrance fee which covers all rides. There are covered eating areas and facilities to purchase food, drinks and ice creams at both parks.
For the sporting person, there are golf courses in Forster, Tuncurry and Taree. There's a bowling club in Hallidays Point, as well as a tennis court, basketball court and beach volleyball at Beachfront Holiday Resort.
